Avatar Wii Game - The One From the Movie

A lot of video games are currently available in the market today. They have gained popularity with not only the kids and teenagers, but also with adults as well.

There has been witnessed intense competition for these games, and this has also led to the intense advertisement campaigns that are meant to popularize some of them The above scenario has also been witnessed in Avatar Wii version of the video games for a long time. Avatar Wii games have come with many versions. Those that have played the games are surely awaiting the emergence of the James Cameron's Avatar version in December.

James Cameron is not very new in the entertainment world. One can remember him for developing the feature film , Titanic. A lot of reviews have been written on Avatar and they all point out that the video game will give the players a refreshing experience. The game play has its setting in an alien planet that is called Pandora, which is known to have the world's inhabitants referred in the play as Na-vi. The video game presents development of a conflict that is between the Na-vi and the RDA Corporation, simply associated with the plundering of the planet.

As a player, you will simply have to choose whether to be in the RDA or Ná-vi. It is also going to be your responsibility as a player to choose the character and the new skills as the play is continuing. You will also be required to manage a minimum of 60 RDA and Ná-vi weapons. 20 skills per clan will be mandatory for you to get as a minimum requirement.

There will be animals that you will be riding on as well as vehicles to drive. It is a game play with great cultural depth, detail and conflict. For a seasoned player, it will be a superb opportunity for you to experience great fun and have rich ideas. That will be really a game that will be distinguishable among many. The expected release of the video version of the game play is December 4th. Two weeks after the release of the video game , there will also be a special release of the film.

A great story line is in the waiting for the gaming fraternity. Several editions of the Avatar Wii game will be released on the mentioned date. These will be PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The technology behind them will be that of steroscopic 3D, which is also known for the fact that it also provides the film's Tri-dimensional visuals.

There will still be a lot in store for the lovers of Avatar Wii game. One should expect new weapons , characters, vehicles and great moments of fun. The world of video games will also witness new flavor and context. There is every reason to await the new game of Avatar Wii coming in December. As a great lover of James Cameron's Titanic , you will have every reason to celebrate the new game.

Three Traits of an Actor/Actress

There are many traits of an actor or actress but I would narrow it down to the three main traits one should have as a performer. First off let me start out by saying that actor in the Greek language is one who interprets but in this sense it is one who interprets a dramatic character. The actor acts in dramatic performances and productions. They are involved in screen and off Broadway plays, theatre, film, television, and even radio. Acting is said to derive around 534 BC.

The first known person to get on stage and recite words intended to be someone other than themselves is Thespis. He performed at the theatre Dionysus. Thespis told his narratives in song, third person narrative, and dance. You may have heard of actors being called Thespians and this is mainly because of Thespis.

Unlike in present time were we placed our actors on high pedestals back in the early middle ages actors were not known as a high status. People tended not to put much trust into the traveling actor. But now people have come to almost worship and even being obsessed over actors.

One of the traits an actor must have is technique and discipline. You must learn the ways of the art. You should be well acquainted with different acting styles. There is method acting, presentational and representational acting, and acting as an opposite gender.

You should learn the history to get to know the essence of the art. The second trait you should have is creativity and freedom to express yourself. You must be willing to make a fool of yourself for the art. You have to be able to learn how to let go and be as free as a child while still maintaining that constant control of your craft.

The third technique to possess is the passion and the energy that brings. When you love something and love to do it that in turn comes across in your performance. The feeling that an actor brings to the table is that of real raw sincere emotion and the if you can find your passion for the piece and character you are portraying then you would make a phenomenal performance as an actor.

Learn how to find that inner energy that you need to bring from the inside to the surface of the character. As an actor you should always try to find common ground between you and the character so that your presence is felt as one and not as you playing the part but being the part.

Katara - Character of Avatar the Last Airbender

Katara is a girl character from anime-cartoon TV Show - Avatar The Last Airbender. She was fourteen year-old girl, which had supernatural powers, and could manage the water. She was called Waterbender and was the only one in her tribe who could manage the water.

The Fire Nation warriors very often were attacking their villages. They were also attacking all the other villages and tribes as well as Earthbenders. They were attacking everything on their way. And once, when the Fire Nation raiders came, Katara's mother for rescuing her daughter, rescuing as a single left Waterbender on this tribe, in this Waterbender region, in exchange for daughter salvation, she gave herself, her life.

Katara didn't live alone. She had a brother Sokka, who had no special powers, but he was a warrior. It should be mentioned that he was a very funny person with a lot of sarcasm, but very dedicated and as a brother and as a friend. Only they were left from their family. Once, when they were fishing, they have found an iceberg, and they saw a boy inside. She with her powers dissolved an iceberg and thus released him. It revealed that there was an Avatar - Aang and his bison - Appa. They were very glad to see him, because there were no any news about Avatar for 100 years. So they all became very good friends. Katara and her brother Sokka joined the Avatar's task to save the world from the Fire Nation, and she traveled with him around the world and as far as possible helping Aang to meet his mission.

As Waterbender she was very young, so when she was traveling with Aang, she also wanted to expand her knowledge, her abilities, how to manage the water better. Therefore, when there were opportunities to learn more, she studied it with enthusiasm. Once fall into her hands the manuscript about water management. And she studied it with Aang. She wanted to expand her abilities of water managing but Aang had to learn it from the beginning.

Young Waterbender from time to time was remembering her grandmother. She remembered how her grandmother gave her a necklace, pendant around the neck, which was very precious for her. Later, this necklace helped her very much. She had a meeting with the best Waterbender Master, who was never teaching girls. He was bent that girls can only treat with their powers. By the way, Katara could do it as well, she also could heal with her powers. Once when Aang was learning to master a Fire, he accidentally burned Katara's hands. And she healed them immediately with her powers.

So the old Waterbender Master told her that her place is among the other women who treated wounded. But she disagreed. There was a dispute and this persistent Master, she called to a duel to show him what she can. Of course, because she was Waterbender beginner and less experienced, she lost that duel. When she was fighting, she lost her necklace, which her grandmother gave her. When the fighting ended, the old master noticed it on the ground and lift it. He remembered that this is the same necklace, which he gave to his fiancee - Katara's grandmother. Thus, it appeared that this good but stubborn master was a fiance of her grandmother. Then the old master's heart melted off, and he decided to allow her to learn a Waterbending.

The Many Benefits of 3D Character and People Modeling

Recently it was reported that James Cameron's mega hit movie Avatar became the highest grossing film of all time with a worldwide haul of over $1.9 billion. The movie is sure to break a number of box office records before all is said and done. But beyond the numbers and the accolades, Avatar offers audiences something far more intriguing: a look into the future of cinema.

For those who have not seen the film (and there aren't many), it utilizes cutting-edge 3D animation technology to create 3d characters of live actors and actresses. But as innovative and impressive as this new technology is, Avatar is not the first film to use 3d people or characters.

Early nineteen-eighties films like Tron and the Last Starfighter used computer generated 3D character models to create short sequences in both films. But the cost of these models was quite steep, so movie studios were apprehensive about investing in 3d characters or animation for several years.

The great leap forward in 3D animation came in 1995 with the release of the first full length computer animated feature film Toy Story. The movie was a world-wide hit as it went on to earn over 360 million dollars. But what impressed studio executives even more than the box office receipts was the fact that the film had been completed on a budget of only 30 million dollars. Finally the technology had become cost effective, and from that day forward movie studios were, understandably, far more receptive to projects that utilized 3D animation technology.

In fact, Toy Story was followed by a number of full length films that featured 3d people and characters, most of which were hits. There was, of course, the predictable sequel, Toy Story 2, the massive Shrek films, Final Fantasy, and now Avatar.

What has Hollywood learned? To begin with, they have learned that 3D animation technology is not only extremely popular, but also fairly inexpensive when compared with other big studio films. They have also discovered that the appeal of pictures that use 3d people is nearly universal, i.e., both adults and children are fascinated by them.

But while it might be true that Hollywood has shown this technology to the world, 3D animation has actually been used in a number of different industries for years now. From video games to product simulations to fly-through animations, 3D modeling can add accuracy and realism to almost any presentation.

The process has become extremely popular in business where it is used to create 3D corporate logos, product simulations, as well as sales and product presentations.

What are the benefits? Avatar Movie Reviewed Here

If you love to escape into other exotic worlds through the medium of film then you will simply love Avatar the movie. That's why I made it a priority to get the Avatar movie reviewed and written up as soon as possible.

We all loved the totally sci-fi fantasy of blockbusters such as the Star Wars series and also more recently the Lord of the Rings trilogy. We sat amazed at captivated as we where given a window into new worlds, occupied by fantastic creatures and civilizations. Rightly so both as of the above titles where pioneers in the use of CGI and special effects, creating a new genre of movie epics.

Well imagine all of the above on steroids and you have Avatar.

The film Avatar was written and produced by award winning director James Cameron aka Iron Jim who already has an impressive string of movies to his name including big films such as Terminator the futuristic blockbuster starring Arnold Schwarzenegger to name but one. He also went on to do the sequels along with of huge hit movies such as Aliens.

The plot of the movie tells the story of an unsuspecting paraplegic ex-soldier who finds himself caught up in the exotic world of Pandora. His initial motives where to replace his brother killed in a robbery and to raise some money in order to get treatment for his own medical condition in order to regain the use of his legs. Although this is soon forgotten about as he takes on the form of an Avatar, his own mind in an alien body. The plot unfolds as he becomes with an indigenous race the Na'vi who are fighting to protect their homelands from corporate destruction.

The film took around 10 years to make and in this humble film-viewers opinion was time well spent. As well as having an interesting storyline the depth and scope of the effects is simply breath taking. In fact in order to even think about taking everything in the film has to be watched on a big screen. The colours are vibrant and you genuinely feel that you are lost completely in another world.

Mission accomplished the Avatar movie has been reviewed and I give it a ten out of ten.

Are You Using Your Avatar Correctly to Promote Your Business?

Unless you are a neophyte to Social Media, you already have an avatar for your business. An avatar is the alter-ego of you, the writer; some representation of yourself when you are on the computer and the image that you want to project to the internet world. However, people do not seem to be aware that avatars can be very important and form a first impression of you by your readers. Whatever avatar you put up as your representation is going to define you and your business, so it is extremely important that you carefully choose what you want people to see. If you are not using an appropriate avatar for the correct situation, you could lose your potential reader and ultimately, business from that potential client.

What then would be a good avatar for your business? Here are some suggestions:

Your Head Shot

Obviously, a head shot of you is the simplest and safest avatar you can have. But it doesn't have to be a boring shot of you just staring into the camera. Have some fun with it. Use a prop. Smile or laugh. Remember, your avatar is going to define your personality and make people remember you. Bring your personality into your avatar so that your readers want to get to know you better.

A Body Shot

While a body shot may be more interesting than just a head shot, you have to watch out that you are not too far away so that there is no definition of you. In that case, you may as well not have an avatar! Remember, these pictures are tiny little squares, so if you use a body shot, make sure you can be clearly seen. Again, do something exciting. Use a prop. Dress in what your business does, or be doing something so interesting that your reader has to say, "Oh cool. That person is someone I want to get to know better".

An Illustration/Item or Object

Remember, people want to connect to you, the writer, not with your favorite pair of shoes. If you have an object or illustration as an avatar, people can not see your personality. They will not be able to get a feeling of who you are. Many times, people will remember your avatar but not your name. Therefore, you want that avatar to be you when you start to build your relationship with your reader.

A Logo

There are times when a logo can be perfectly acceptable as an avatar. The key is whether you are your business or whether your business is independent of you. For example, any Fortune 500 company's avatar is not a picture of their CEO, but rather a picture of their well recognized logo. In that case, the business is their logo, not the CEO. But using a logo for a one person law office would not be effective. In that case, the lawyer IS the business. A head or body shot would be much more appropriate an avatar in that situation.

Obviously, these rules would not apply if you are just using Social Media to have fun and maybe just blog about yourself. Then your avatar can be as fun as you want it to be. In that case, you are not trying to build any relationships but rather just sharing. But remember, for business purposes, Social Medias is all about building relationships. Your avatar is the very first step in building those relationships, so choose wisely. Your business could depend upon your choice!

What is the World Plot? Is it the Same As the Avatar Movie?

Consider Shakespeare's famous lines that the world is but a stage. Then it follows there must be a plot and starring roles for each of us as players.

What is Most Popular Plot For Last Few Millennium?

Look at the most popular plot of any era and any civilization, the one all people rave about and flock to star in. The titles of the movies, the plays, the books may all be different but the story line almost always amounts to: Goodness Triumphs Over Evil. This show has run for the last few millennium, and not only in the cinemas and theatres of the world, but in our homes, no matter how grand or humble hey may be.

What is Underlying Theme of Every Drama?

Go back as far as you want to the first written words in the Indian Vedas, the Upanishads, and you will detect this plot carefully recorded. Indeed, in all religious scriptures, including the Bible and the Koran, you will find the same story line. From the ancient tales that are passed down orally by priests and shamans to modern-day morals, the struggle between good and evil is the underlying theme of every drama and every school of thought throughout the world. All deal with warding off and defeating evil.

Plot Not Restricted to Movie Avatar

Whilst any Hollywood movie, television show, Broadway play or novel is a variation of this plot, violent emotions, hate, jealousy, and envy are not restricted to the world of the Steven Spielberg's or James Cameron's Avatar. Unfortunately, this same story line results in criminal statistics, civil wars and in the history of armed conflicts between countries from Nero to Napoleon, from Hitler to Saddam Hussein, to Osama Bin Laden. The plot fills our asylums and drives people to therapy sessions, bulimia and suicide

Rest Assured Another Sequel Will Follow

Even though life and fiction are full of different dramatic situations, the underlying plot is almost always Goodness Triumphs Over Evil. Should one book or movie end with the bad guys in charge, you can rest assured that another sequel will follow in which the hero wins the day.

Live Happily Ever After

In the movies, on stage and in books, the credits roll across the screen, the curtain comes down, and the book ends. We never see how the protagonists actually live Happily Ever After once the excitement is gone, but it is our hope to live in bliss as well eventually.

Real World Is The Same

The real world out there works in much the same way. The game is rigged. We are not quite the independent agents that we flatter ourselves to be. Time and again we catch ourselves making the same mistakes over and over again. We follow the script, whether we are aware of it or no. We play the roles, and with good reason, or so it seems. We all want to be happy, full of smiles and joy. So it is the happy end that we are after. The hope for that reward keeps us toeing the line.

This script is acted out behind every kitchen sink and in every bedroom in the entire world. It is the manner in which each of us deals with our relationships whether we are ready to admit it or not. Wherever two or more people get together and conflict arises, be it at a picnic, around the campfire, in the sleek boardroom or in front of a dusty conveyor belt the plot is being played out. Of course, you would never say your partner is evil maybe, but bad, yes. The battle is really between two people trying to prove each are innocent, and the other one is the bad guy...classic, century after century.

You are a Duality Also

Just imagine for a while that there is some good and some bad in everybody on this planet, including you. After all, this world full of dualities - night and day, light and dark, positive and negative. Why could you not be a duality also? Imagine that therefore the script you are handed at birth for your own personal growth is the same as for everyone else. You and all other human avatars in the world are to discover the good within you and develop it until you are strong enough to face the evil within you, and triumph over it. Will you win for long? Of course not, as you dark or evil side will use your own force against you, to triumph over you. And when you are going down again for the last time, maybe you will muster up the strength and go for it one more time.

Thirty-Six Variations to the Plot

There have to be some variations and adaptations; otherwise you probably would not want to play on the world stage of planet Earth for very long. You would probably get bored and go look for another game. But once you understand this plot, it can be really exciting, quite an adrenaline booster if you play it consciously.

Actually there are thirty six adaptations and variations to this plot, which are mixed and matched to keep you fully engaged, playing the game with all your might. For now, really grasp that every conflict you have ever had centers around this one basic world plot, Goodness Triumphs Over Evil.

Avatar 3D - The Future of Movie Production?

Well, lets start with the basics. This film is historic. On a personal note I enjoyed the film much more than I thought I would. The wife had to basically drag me to see it and I'm glad she did. I think it lasted about 150 minutes which in other films would drag in but this one it didn't. It seemed to link in perfectly so you weren't waiting for the next piece of action so it gets a big thumbs up for me and I'm equally as excited as there are sequels planned if the film is successful, well its just became the fastest film to gross $1 billion at the box office so its already in profit so get writing Mr Cameron.

Though lets take a step back from the money that it is bringing in and look at the bigger picture. Will this trigger a deluge of 3D films? Surely 3D is the way forward now that the technology "has caught up" as James Cameron eluded to when he said this film was 15 years in the making.

Well there are two sides to every argument and from a laymans point of view, yes it was a great film and superbly conceived and delivered. But can you do that with every film? Can every film be shot in that way? Will the screenplay allow it? In a nutshell I believe only certain types of films deserve and will be shot in 3D in the future. Again money will talk in the future development for this kind of technology but how much better can the picture get? Yes the technology can improve to make it easier to shoot a movie of this type but can the movie goers experience get better?

In my eyes technology will always improve and budgets will always rise but will we ever reach a pinnacle? Will we ever reach a point where we can say, yeah that won't be topped for a while. I.m.o., Avatar is such a film and I believe that it won't be topped. Maybe you're saying well what about the sequels? How can they be any different? Sure the storyline can be developed but the technology that brought us the immaculate conception surely can't be improved to bring us the siblings for want of a better analogy.

I think Avatar has proved to be a benchmark that James Cameron dreamed up all those years ago and now the baby has been born. Will 3D prove to be the future? Possibly yes for some types of film. Will the screenplay be better than what Avatar brought us, doubtful. In my opinion the best thing about 3D is the interaction between viewer and screen and when the interaction is as real as this I believe there can be no topping it. I don't think I will be writing about a better 3D film in the next few years anyway.

A Look at Amazing Animation - From Snow White to Avatar

Ever since the first animated full length movie was made in the U.S. (I believe it was Snow White, 1937) the Walt Disney Studios has been the biggest name in family movies. For many years, Disney has taken the stories and legends and turned them into beautiful cartoons for the large screen. Recently, animation stepped from cartoonists and their boards into the computer room and became computer animation. This year, animation took another step and became 3D animation movies. One of these movies is now an academy award winner: Avatar.

Avatar isn't a cartoon; it is a full-fledged movie for adults filled with action packed scenes made through animation. Using computer programs to take real people and place them into the bodies of computer generated people, the company that produced Avatar took the movie public on a magic carpet ride into a make believe world where we will never be able to go. Even without viewing this movie in 3D, the audience was transported to another world. The computer generated people in the animated sequences moved and acted exactly like the people they were supposed to be. The animation of the trees, flowers and other living things on the animated world was amazingly life-like as well. The computer generated people who did not have "real" counterparts in the non-animated world moved and acted as if there were a person standing in front of a green screen making the movements. The entire movie was a marvel and everything about it screamed Academy Award (even though it didn't win best movie) the first instance the picture melted on the screen in front of the audience.

Soon after Avatar won the big awards, Tim Burton brought another 3D movie to the big screen, Alice in Wonderland. Mr. Burton has several interesting movies to his credit where he has used animation but this was his first foray into the big 3D.

Computer animation makes Johnny Depp into the crazy Mad Hatter of Lewis Carroll's wonderful adventure that has taken us down a rabbit hole and through a looking glass into a world of animals and things and their interaction with crazy people. It is difficult to watch this movie without thinking how much computer animation has enhanced it. Computer animation allows the people in the film to do things that there would be no physical translation for in a real film. When little Alice paints the white roses red it is fluidly done and not a freeze frame type section of a movie that has been used in the past to do an impossible thing.

Computer animation is an amazing process. This art of making inanimate objects animate is now taught in film school. Soon it may be possible to do an entire film through the use of computers. What will happen to the "stars" of today when they no longer have to toil on the set; do action stunts; kiss the co star? Will people still watch a movie if there are no actually people involved? It's possible that this time will come sooner than expected.

The Messages Conveyed in Avatar

I watched the film Avatar for the second time yesterday. The story is in fact quite a simple one; that of the newcomer invading and trying to take land and possessions from the indigenous people, with no thought for their lives or values. But there are many deeper complexities woven into the structure of this film.

Nobody could help but notice how one became hooked into the lives of the "aliens", identifying more with them than our own human species. The aliens became far more human than the majority of the humans! I don't "do" alien movies; but this film is not about aliens - it's about the real values and balance of life on this planet.

There are a lot of basic themes and concepts of life which are portrayed within this film. It is interesting to notice Jake's reactions when he first encounters life on Pandora. He displays the natural instinct of fear when we perceive threat. He has to learn to face the various panther-dog and rhino-like animals in the jungle. But as he learns the ways of the indigenous peoples, he comes to understand that it was his own fault that he ever had to confront these beasts at all.

It was pointed out to Jake that if he had moved more quietly or displayed more subtlety and understanding he would never have been confronted by these beasts; it was he who had (through lack of understanding which had led to fear) intruded upon their lives and posed a threat to them. When you think about it, most fear which we experience in life is indeed caused through a lack of real understanding of things.

This basic tenet is displayed in many occurrences throughout the film. Once Jake understands the ways of the huge flying birds, he learns to bond with them and gains a loyal cohort for life. If you work with them, they work with you. You become a dedicated team. But the only way in which this relationship can get off the ground is by overcoming your fear and displaying equal "heart".

As you watch Avatar you see again and again how one has to "feel" with your heart and not just see in a way which is superficial. It comes across in their greeting "I see you" which means so much more than those few words usually mean to we human beings. How many times have you used the phrase "I see" when you clearly did not see?!

There are many ironies such as these which "pop up" in Avatar. The name Pandora of course says so much and Jake did indeed discover that having lifted the lid, he could never close the lid again.

It is pointed out that if your cup is full, there is no room left for new learning. Jake displays the open mind of someone whose cup is empty and open to being filled. He has great motivation as he has been promised the operation to give him back the use of his legs so long as he carries out a specific task.

There is also the insight that it is easier to face fear when you feel that you have nothing to lose. The more you have, the more there is to lose, and hence the more fear there is to hold you back. We would all benefit from emptying and refreshing our cups on a regular basis. In Jake's case he quickly realizes that his earlier motivation which had seemed to be so important was nothing as compared to the importance of saving Pandora and its people.

A further message in the movie is that the more possessions you have the more you want. Hence the reason for humans being on Pandora at all - their quest for "unobtanium". Again, we see an example of a greatly ironic name. The unobtanium is, needless to say, beneath the position of the home that the indigenous peoples have chosen, its epicenter being beneath the tree of spirits - the spirit of Ewya.

The indigenous people also do not attempt to possess this "unobtanium"; they recognize that it is not a possession to be mined, sold or worn. It is a spiritual energy which everyone can share and benefit from merely by being open to its presence. It is there because of the people's spiritual understanding, their respect for their ancestors and the balance of life. When Jake goes to Ewya to ask for help, it is explained that Ewya does not take sides, but merely promotes balance.

The message of course is that if you live in accordance with the natural spiritual understanding and way of life and respect its balance, you will be richly rewarded. But to those who do not gain that understanding and insight that reward will always be both craved and unobtainable.

A journey into spirituality does give great understanding and creates a feeling of balance and harmony. Avatar is not about aliens; it is about mutual respect, spirituality, community spirit, banding together as a team, balance and ultimately how in the long run good will conquer over evil.

If what you desire takes from another, or does not display respect for others, it destroys life's balance, and puts life upon this planet in jeopardy.

Ultimately "Avatar" Movie Becomes the Biggest Ever!

Just a few days back there was an argument and discussion going around - can Avatar beat the record collection of Titanic? To which the director James Cameron himself nodded a negative. However the 3-D magic 'Avatar' ultimately succeeded in beating the Oscar-winning film 'Titanic' in the run for the highest grosser in the international market. Now, its waiting on potentially a few awards in the Upcoming Academy Awards Event.

According to various sources, the film, till the last weekend, had been able to gross USD 1.29 billion at the international box office according to producers Fox, that surpassed the 'Titanic' mark of USD 1.24 billion. It has now set a new record and has proved itself as the highest earner ever in movie history.

But that's not the end of the film's run and the statistic bosses were of the opinion that if everyday goes well, the film would be able to cross the worldwide gross of Titanic $1.848 billion to become the biggest money-maker of all-time and it has as of January 26th, 2010.

'Avatar', which grossed USD 36 million domestically till last weekend reports for sixth straight weeks has now hit a box office record surpassing Titanic for worldwide sales. It blew past 'The Dark Knight' record to grab the second place of domestic grosser list. Fox Executive Chris Aronson said, "Milestones like this are great. Its part of an amazing ride the film has taken us on. But this film is still just captivating audiences on global basis."

While discussing about the prediction of Avatar to make new records, James Cameron, the director of the movie said, "I don't think it's realistic to try to topple 'Titanic' off its perch. Some pretty good movies have come out in the last few years. 'Titanic' just struck some kind of chord."

Tough Titanic was still sailing ahead in domestic grossing record but, now overall worldwide collection of Avatar has surpassed the ruler for all these years. Final figures are still waiting to come in. Variety has confirmed that Fox has confirmed that Avatar has crossed the mark of Titanic and will also move more ahead of it in the future.

It is a significant moment for the producers and the director of Avatar. Because as expected, it delivered. Much was also expected from 2012 but it could not touch the hearts of people like Avatar and the blue glittering heroes of James Cameron.

With the success of the movie it is said that China has renamed a central china mountain after the US blockbuster which also let off a powerful box office record.

The Most Exciting World of Avatars

These are the days of the computer and you hardly find kids playing with toys any more. They would rather prefer playing on the computer games that they can download via the internet. Avatar's Trinity

I had the pleasure of seeing the movie "Avatar" today in glorious 3D. The beautiful cinematography is enough for me to recommend the movie to anyone. Reviewers have mistakenly depicted Avatar as a love story. It is clear that Avatar is a religious story.

James Cameron's follow up to the epic love story of "Titanic" is not another love story. The love between Jake Sully, and Neytiri is shallow. Neytiri never seems comfortable with Jake; who tends to suddenly collapse into unconsciousness as his remote brain is disconnected from his avatar's body. Jake's true love appears to be the spiritualism of the Na'vi, the native people of the planet Pandora.

Avatar is a Trinitarian religious story modeled after Christianity. The religion of the Nevi is a step up from "The Force" that the Jedi relied on in "Star Wars". The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit each have their elementary counterparts in this film. The Na'vi's answer to Christianity's Holy Father Yahweh is Eywa, or Mother Nature. The Holy Spirit is depicted as a network of roots between the pious trees. Modest imagination was used to name it "The Spirit". Through prayer to Eywa, The Spirit is able to garner the cooperation of the native animals to provide a miraculous victory for the Na'vi.

Jesus, The Son, is present in the character of Jake Sully. Jake is immaculately reborn in the opening sequence from cryopreservation. He is taught the religion of the Na'vi, and converts from godless capitalism. His prayers to the Mother Eywa are answered by the The Spirit as he leads his disciples in the final battle for the planet. He is even resurrected after willingly offering his life for the chance to become his avatar.

For me, Avatar's trinity rings hollow compared to Christianity. Whether or not it sinks to the level of sacrilegious, I will defer to theologians. Mother Nature is less than a week's work for Yahweh (see Genesis), and Jake Sully is a far cry from Jesus. Still, if the spirituality of Avatar is enticing, you may find Christianity enthralling. It's coming soon to a church near you.

What You Need To Know About 3D TV

The release of 3D smash hits like Avatar has led many television manufacturers to begin producing 3D-ready television sets in order to enable them to watch movies in 3D at home. While the use of 3D technology in broadcast television is still in the planning stages, it is hoped that by 2015, 3D television technology will be widespread enough that most people will watch movies in 3D, especially blockbusters and documentaries where 3D technology is at its finest.

3D Ready Televisions
The first and most important thing to understand about a 3D ready TV is that it operates on the same mechanical principles as a standard flat-screen TV, only that it has the necessary processing power and upgrades for showing effectively two images at once, since this is how the 3D effect is created. Most people are familiar with traditional 3D setups as they experienced in the movies, which used colored or polarized glasses to allow each eye to see a different image, resulting in a 3D effect. However, the effect is limited because the glasses interfere either with the color or the position of the screen, meaning that the screen must be very large and very bright in order for the effect to work properly. This was not considered a problem in theatres, especially since it permitted the use of 3D glasses so cheap as to be disposable should theater patrons break them or take them home.

3D Ready TVs get around this problem by using very advanced and expensive glasses that use what is known as an "LCD shutter". This method basically allows the separate halves of the glasses to become completely opaque and completely transparent at an incredible rate, much higher than the human eye can detect. By syncing the glasses with the film, the 3D TV is then able to show the left eye an image, then the right one, and then the left again, so that the 3D effect can be generated. This means that the glasses are expensive, usually about seventy-five pounds or more each. Luckily, most 3D TVs come packaged with two or more glasses. Additional glasses may be purchased, and it is hoped that their price will decrease as more methods are found to reduce the cost.

This means that the television needs to be able to display images twice as fast as normal however, so it must be capable of rendering images at 120 frames per second as opposed to the 60 frames per second present in most TVs. This need to be extremely fast accounts for most of the increased cost of 3D TVs, of which even the cheapest costs two thousand pounds or more. It is hoped that these costs will go down as efficiencies of scale and improved technologies are developed.

High Definition 3D Televisions
The high speeds and qualities demanded by 3D TVs also mean that they require very high resolutions. All 3D TVs are inherently high definition, but the demands of 3D mean that they must be able to receive and display massive quantities of information through high-end cables such as HDMI or composite cables. Luckily, cables are one of the least expensive parts of any 3D setup, as almost all cables are of equal quality. The electrons that travel down a cable go at the same speed no matter what, so purchasing thicker or gold-coated cables has a minimal increase in quality.

It is also important to note that the immense amount of data in a 3D movie, since it has twice as many frames as a regular movie, means that 3D technology will be limited to high-density discs such as 3D Blu-Ray for the time being. It is hoped that advancements in science will allow for additional disc formats to be used, and many companies hope to one day be able to stream 3D movies directly to televisions using advanced transmission technologies. Anticipating this, almost all 3D televisions have some basic ways of connecting to the Internet, although currently this usually involves the use of peripherals.

Although 3D TV technology is currently in its infancy, Samsung, Panasonic, Phillips and LG have all begun the production of 3D TVs and their models are already widely available for purchase in high-end electronics shops. While these initial models will no doubt look primitive in a decade or so, they currently represent the finest that modern television technology has to offer. Most electronics companies have declared that 50% of their production and sales will be nothing but 3D TVs as soon as 2012, and the fact that 3D TVs are backwards compatible makes them highly desirable. Many movie studios are anticipating this demand by shooting their latest blockbuster releases with 3D cameras, ensuring that even early adopters will have lots of films to watch. With the entire summer of 2010 slated to come out in 3D, and Avatar already available in the format, even those who buy a 3D TV today will have plenty to watch.
